Trekking through Sapa's rice paddies

The lush green fields and serene misty landscapes are a world away from the bustling city scenes of the northern capital Hanoi, and a true reflection of the contrasting sides of Vietnam. I travelled to Vietnam in May and enjoyed warm but comfortable temperatures, perfect for trekking high into the hills of Sapa and staying in the basic but cosy homes of the welcoming local hilltribes.
