Thua Thien-Hue launches new tourism promotion programs

 Vietnam travel - Thua Thien Hue Province strives to welcome 2.8-3 million visitors in 2014, of whom 1.2-1.3 million are foreigners.

The province expects to raise tourism revenue by 16-18%, contributing to 54-55% of its total GDP.

To achieve these goals, the province will set up new tours, develop ecological tourism and improve the quality of services and human resources.

A number of tourism promotion activities and domestic and international fairs will be held to advertise the image of the central province and attract more foreign tourists to the locality in Vietnam travel.

From August 2014 to the end of 2015, the province will launch a sustainable tourism development project, which is sponsored by the International Labor Organization (ILO) and UNESCO. The project has a capital of US$230,000.

The province received 2.3 million of tourists, including 726,297 foreigners, so far this year, up 14.06% compared to the same period in 2013, and gaining more than VND1,854 billion.
